Our history
We are a health services provider Institution with experience in the area of neurological and behavioral rehabilitation.
APAES is an organization created since 2006, that has been transformed into health care since 2010. APAES was initially born as an alternative for the present and future for the Neurological rehabilitation processes of children and adults with disabilities.
Over time, APAES has been nourished and enriched until it has consolidated a comprehensive care model, from which a training unit is operated and, as a goal, a school with an inclusive education system (Cree-ando Program).
We currently have 3 offices in the city of Cali. The main office is located in the El Ingenio neighborhood, at this office we provide all our services, except the equine therapy service, which is located in our hippotherapy location. Our third office is called La viga, located in Pance, where we serve all our services and additionally our permanent nursing home program, creeando program and our Shelter.
Likewise, we have two offices in the city of Pereira and one in the city of Tuluá. Within its facilities, patients will be able to find spaces specially developed and suitable for specific needs, there is also a pool for Aquatic therapy, Physical therapy, Speech therapy, Occupational therapy, and a space dedicated to the Therasuit Method.
One of the results of the constant search for treatment alternatives carried out by Apaes, took Juan Esteban García Aguirre to Michigan, United States in 2006, and in November 2009 to the PEDIATRIC FITNESS CENTER (Pediatric Center specialized in the Therasuit Method LLc or Therapeutic Suit) by Richard and Izabela Koscienlny. At that time his progress was noticeable, and he is the Leading patient of APAES. We also found in Colombia the treatment of doctors from Cuba, with little-known neurorehabilitation techniques, but complementary in terms of treatment.
The experience shared with people in the rehabilitation process, and the experience of their relatives in the management of disability, allows us to offer innovative and effective intervention and research proposals for both interest groups, betting on going through this difficult condition in a condition of opportunity.
