Music therapy

This program serves to stimulate the development of physical and mental activities and produces positive effects that improve learning, concentration, among others.

The music therapy program seeks to promote a musical environment that stimulates users’ physiological, cognitive, psychomotor and/or psychological processes that contribute to improving their quality of life.

Improvisation with musical instruments is used as a strategy since it allows the user to explore aspects of himself. This allows the patient to know his internal world and relate to his environment. The song is also used as it is a social, motivating and playful activity. Finally, listening to recorded music makes it easier to imitate rhythms or sounds.

Some advantages offered by music therapy are:

  • Promotes control over movement.
  • Develops motor perceptive faculties.
  • Strengthen empathy with other people.
  • Promotes attention and concentration.
  • Develops and enhances language
